...your wi-fi keeps dropping out

So you're watching Netflix. Or streaming music. Or on a video call with the family or CEO, depending on your priorities. Suddenly, your wifi drops and so does your heart. But within a few minutes, you're back online. What just happened?

Often, there's a surprising culprit: the innocuous microwave. A by-product of some running microwaves (particularly inverter types) is a bunch of invisible electromagnetic waves that can interfere with wi-fi routers in the vicinity. #firstWorldProblems

Consider...

Designing your home so your wi-fi router is very, very far away from your microwave. Ideally, your router should be somewhere central to the home and up high and running on the 5GHz band - this will remove the microwave interference but at the expense of broadcast distance 😥

Or, if that's not possible, ditch the microwave, go back to basics and just eat raw vegetables - internet trumps hot food, right?
